We’re committed to providing the best care for your pets.

 

Our policies apply to all services and all clients, both new and established.

 

PET CARE AND PAYMENT

Our pet care services are provided and charged per visit.
Please note that rates for subsequent services are subject to change.

TIME OF PAYMENT

All pet sit booking requests require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. This deposit must be made no later than 3 days after booking to

confirm your reserved dates.

The remainder of the payment is due 7 days before the service begins.

Cash and personal checks may be left on the counter at the time of service.

Electronic payments must be paid in full 7 days before the start of service.

Please note that payment for holiday bookings is due in full at the time of booking.

We do not accept postdated checks.

 

HOLIDAY RATES

Desert Whiskers Cat Sitting will implement a holiday rate of 1.5x the standard regular rate per visit, applicable throughout the entire holiday season.

**Example: **

For Memorial weekend:

 - Friday: Regular rate + 1.5x the regular rate (holiday rate)

-Saturday: Regular rate + 1.5x the regular rate (holiday rate)

-Sunday: Regular rate + 1.5x the regular rate (holiday rate)

- Monday (the actual holiday): Regular rate + 1.5x the regular rate (holiday rate)

* Assuming one visit per day. This example illustrates the application, but the 1.5x holiday rate extends to cover the entire holiday season, even if it spans weeks. *

 

 

**Holiday Schedule: **

- Easter - March (Sunday)

- Mother's Day (Sunday)

- Memorial Day Weekend (Thursday to Monday)

 - Father's Day (Sunday)

- Independance Day/Weekend - July (3rd to 7th)

- Labor Day Weekend - September (Friday to Monday)

- Halloween (October 31st)

- Thanksgiving - November (Monday to Sunday)

- Christmas Season - December 20th to 30th)

 - New Years - December (31st to January 1st)

**Major Holiday Rate**

An additional 1.5x rate non-refundable fee per extra visits applies to New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independance Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day

 

Clarification to the holiday rates, this is an additional charge on top of the regular service rate.

 

VISIT TIMES

Desert Whiskers Cat Sitting uses a block schedule and will visit at the requested times as closely as possible. However, if caring for multiple pets, the times may be shifted to accommodate clients. 
*Pets requiring time sensitive medication will be seen at set times.

Morning (7am - 10am), Midday (10am - 1pm), Afternoon (1pm-4pm)

Evening (4pm - 7pm).

 Pet Sitting visits are 7 days a week, beginning at 7:00am and leaving at 7:00pm.

Our Office Hours are from 10am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

We are closed Saturday and Sunday 

RESERVATIONS/BOOKINGS

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a date and time for any services.

All clients, new and established, need to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit.

During the holidays, a 100% non-refundable deposit is required.


We recommend planning at least two weeks in advance for services needed. We’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, but availability is not guaranteed.


We do not accept same-day requests from new clients.


Please note, we reserve the right to deny reservation requests. All bookings are first-come, first-serve, and we do not hold dates without a deposit.
 

 

LATE DEPARTURE/EARLY RETURN

We understand that plans can change.

However, we’re unable to rebook time slots canceled with short notice.

You will still be responsible for the visits you booked, as we have set that time aside exclusively for your pets.


If you’re delayed in your return home, it’s usually not a problem to extend care beyond the scheduled end date. Please let us know as soon as possible if your pets will need extra care.
 

 

CANCELLATIONS

Our cancellation policy applies to all services and all clients, new and current.

There are no refunds unless the pet is deceased or if we cancel the service.


If you cancel more than fourteen (14) days from the first scheduled visit with a 50% paid deposit, a credit will be applied to your account for up to 90 days from the original scheduled date of service.

If the credit is not used after 90 days, it will be forfeited.
If you cancel fourteen (14) days or less from the first scheduled date of service, the deposit and any payments made will be forfeited.

PET SITTING VISITS (Non-Holiday)

Cancellations must be submitted no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled booking to qualify for credit.
Cancellations made with less than fourteen (14) days’ notice will result in a charge of 100% of the total booking amount.

 

HOLIDAY VISITS 

 Reservations that include holidays (such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, etc.) necessitate full payment upfront to secure your booking.
Please note that all payments made for holiday bookings are non-refundable and cannot be credited towards future services.


DWCS does not overbook during holiday periods to ensure the provision of quality care for your pets, given the high demand for pet sitting services during these times.

 

 

WHY DO I HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY? 

At Desert Whiskers Cat Sitting, we value our clients and strive to provide the best care for your pets. Our cancellation policy is in place to ensure fairness and transparency. Given the finite number of hours in a day and the growing demand for our services, we often book services weeks, sometimes months, in advance.
If a cancellation occurs, we unfortunately have no way of reselling that time. Our cancellation policy, which is the same for everyone, is always available on our website and in your contract. This allows us to schedule clients who are serious about using our services and understand that our cancellation policy is in place to be fair to all. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

 

REFUNDS

Desert Whiskers Cat Sitting does not issue refunds of any kind.

Exceptions may be made if your pet is deceased or Desert Whiskers Cat Sitting cancels.

*Account credits expire after 90 days*

Privacy Policy: All your information will be kept private and confidential.

Desert Whiskers Cat Sitting highly respects our clients' entrusting us with the care of their home and their loving pets. We do recommend that you inform a trusted neighbor that while you are away, that Desert Whiskers Cat Sitting will be caring for your pets and your home.
